The Home Front -- World War 2

AWM ARTV00161.

World War 2 had a wide impact in Australia, and not only on its military forces. Coping with the exigencies of the war forced many long-lasting changes in Australian culture which impacted on all Australians, regardless of their role in the war.

Using as a basis Robert Lewis's excellent summary initially published in ANZAC Day 2003, this education activity requires participants to closely examine many of the impacts of World War 2 on the "home front".
